20%: Let your federal colleagues know the latest trends in mobile adoption by writing “Trends on Tuesday” blog posts for the DigitalGov Platform.
This position makes you a writer for the mobile channel which focuses on general mobile news, trends in mobile use and agency challenges and solutions for implementing mobile products like apps, responsive web design, SMS and mobile websites for the public. Every Tuesday we feature a post on mobile user trends. Trends on Tuesday are kept simple, with a single trend. Posts should be composed in less than an hour to help keep focus on simplicity and speed.
To complete your Trends on Tuesday tasks, you will find Pew or other credible, nonpartisan studies of mobile use or choose from a Digital Services Innovation Center list, and write a post about the trend(s). You will also review previous Trends on Tuesday posts for sources and not to repeat previous trends. Each post should include:
- A link to the source of the trend (article, survey, etc)
- A chart, graph or image depicting or representative of the trend
- A link to resource(s) on the Digital Gov platform
- A concluding sentence about why this trend is important to government
Duration: This task will take the volunteer up to 2 hours per week for 6 months. We are looking for you to write at least 3-4 posts a month.
